Purpose for the Position:

A Housekeeping Utility employee is responsible for meeting or exceeding guest expectations. Essential job functions include: Establishing a friendly relationship with all guests when in contact with them; Listening to guest complaints and responding with empathy; Moving and arranging furniture; Turning and hanging draperies; Dusting and polishing furniture and equipment; Collecting soiled linens and storing linens in linen closet; Cleaning bathrooms and replenishing supplies; Stocking own cleaning cart; Delivering television sets, ironing boards, etc; Removing debris; cleaning rooms and public areas; Deep cleaning floors using appropriate equipment; Washing walls, ceilings, and woodwork; Washing windows, door panels and sills; Emptying wastebaskets and ashtrays; Transporting trash to disposal area; Replacing light bulbs; Handling hazardous materials according to all appropriate procedures; Performing other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Use hands to lift, carry or pull objects that may be heavy.
  • Understand simple instructions.
  • Learn simple procedures and techniques.
  • Perform routine work or the same task over and over again.

Physical Demands:
