The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a/an Legal Administrative Assistant for our Law Department in Charlotte. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
PURPOSE:
The Legal Administrative Assistant assists the Law Department's Labor, Employment and Benefits team with all aspects of labor and employment case management, litigation, arbitration, hearings and employee benefit compliance. The position will entail engaging in the combined duties of a paralegal that is also able to engage in other administrative duties, including answer phones, processing mail, filing, and making travel arrangements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintains document control, tracking, reviews case files and/or digests case/trial folders.Gathers documents and prepares responses to various discovery requests.Prepares arbitration and hearing materials, including preparing exhibits and tracking and disseminating information.Prepares status reports of pending employment litigation.Assists the Corporate Records Department in properly maintaining, organizing, and filing employment litigation and related records.Maintains working copies of plan documents and amendments and relating filings.Coordinates execution of plan documents and amendments.Manages agendas and prepares materials, including assistance in drafting meeting minutes for benefit plan management committees.Under attorney supervision, drafts correspondence, reports, documents and produces other written materials.Coordinates training program logistics.General administrative duties, including answering phones, taking messages, processing mail and expense reports, filing, scheduling, making travel arrangements and performing other clerical tasks as assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree or paralegal certification.Maintain confidentiality; professionalism; organization.Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.Good communications and analytical skills.Well organized, consistent and detail oriented in approach to work and able to manage numerous projects simultaneously under deadline pressure.Takes initiative and able to see a project through to completionWilling and available to work extra time as needed.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.
