Lifeguard - Part Time and Full Time positions available
The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety of the pool environment and residents using the pool.
* Ensures the well-being and safety of residents in the pool area.
* Performs constant surveillance of the pool area.
* Maintains effective, positive relationships with residents and Vi team members.
* Coordinates with community staff to communicate fitness programing, pool safety and community news as appropriate.
* Make decisions related to severe weather and pool operation and takes appropriate action.
* Recognizes and responds effectively in emergency situations in accordance with lifeguard safety training and within Vi's policies and practices.
* Knows, understands, and constantly applies safety guideline/protocols for the pool.
* Performs equipment checks (e.g., hook, life ring, railing guard) and ensures proper equipment is available and in good condition. Ensures the pool furniture and restrooms are in good condition.
* Directs pool maintenance concerns to Maintenance staff in a timely manner.
* Checks pool area for hazardous situations and reports them to the proper department.
* Attends staff meetings and relevant training, as requested.
* Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
* HS Diploma or GED equivalent
* Previous Lifeguard experience
* Current Lifeguard Certification, CPR/AED Certification and First Aid Certified
