About this job

The Cook prepares food items needed for meal service using institutional kitchen equipment, quantity preparation techniques and quantity recipes. Ensures all items are fresh, of high quality and prepared under sanitary conditions in compliance with safe food handling practices.

Able to read, write and speak basic English. Ability to perform complex math calculations and verify cash handling and reporting. Customer services skills. Ability to organize work quickly and efficiently and be comfortable working against deadlines. Strong performance even under stressful and rushed conditions. Requires a high degree of accuracy in the performance of varied responsibilities. Extreme attention to detail. Ability to effectively multi-task activities, projects, and priorities.

Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior cooking experience or formal culinary training highly desirable.
