Job Description
The nursing education specialist (NES) works collaboratively to assess, plan, implement and evaluate educational activities through a systems model for Department of Nursing staff including orientation, professional development, and competency programs. Roles of the NES include: educator, facilitator, change agent, collaborator, advisor, mentor, consultant, researcher, and leader.
Basic Qualifications:
Master's Degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing with a Master's Degree in Education. Minimum of three years of nursing practice experience. Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
Other Qualifications:
Education focus in Master's in Nursing program. Experience in educational programming. Demonstrated teaching skills.
License or Certification:
Current Minnesota RN license or current license deemed acceptable by the Minnesota State Board of Nursing.
Exemption Status: Exempt
Hours/Pay Period: 80
Schedule Details: Primarily Monday through Friday daytime hours with occasional weekends and off hours.
