Job Description
The Urgent Care/ Express Care Department at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, MN is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant. The NP/PA works independently and in collaboration with Physicians and other health care professionals providing care to patients in the Urgent Care/ Express Care setting.

60 Physician multi-specialty group including Hospitalist Program 8 Clinic locations with large Physician referral base of 55,000 77 bed community hospital 12 bassinettes; Swing Beds Ideally located at the intersections of Interstates 35 and 90, Albert Lea is a scenic community of 18,000 just 90 minutes south of Minneapolis and 70 miles West of Mayo Clinic in Rochester. Several lakes surround the city contributing to a high quality lifestyle with low crime and affordable cost of living. Basic Qualifications:
Nurse Practitioner candidates must be masters prepared graduates of an accredited school of a nursing and nurse practitioner program along with current Minnesota RN license, NP certification, and current DEA certification/eligibility. Physician Assistant candidates must be masters prepared graduates of an accredited physician assistant program along with current PA certification by the NCCPA, registration by the Minnesota State Board of Medical Practice, and current DEA certification/eligibility.
Other Qualifications:
Possess ability to work independently/autonomously and interdependently with other health care professionals. Have extensive patient assessment skills using diagnostic methods and instruments and possess ability to develop appropriate plan of care, modifying as indicated. Possess effective communication skills and interpersonal skills with patients, families and members of health care team.
License or Certification:
BLS, ACLS, PALS
