Immediate need in Quincy for a Healthcare Business / Reporting Analyst
DURATION: 6-12+ months, contract to hire
PAY RATE/SALARY: negotiable, W2
Primary qualifications:
2-6 years total experience
2-3 years BA experience
Prior Healthcare/payer experience and familiarity with UM, DM, CM functions / terminology
Familiarity with VB, SQL, Access may be helpful reviewing existing report code as part of creating report documentation
Responsibilities:
Develop and document technical and functional requirements that translate business requirements associated with new and changing business capabilities into technical solutions or reports
Drive development of technical designs and solutions
Intermediary between the business and the technical resources to ensure technical design, development and testing meet the needs of the business
Ensure traceability of business requirements through all stages of development, participates in review of testing strategy, plan, data and results
Build relationships with HMM peers and collaborate on cross-functional projects
Ability to identify upstream and downstream impacts that system enhancements may have on system processing and business
Work closely with end-users to understand their business requirements, and creates decision support systems, data analysis tools, and reports for tactical business problem solving
Work with project developers to integrate effective database designs
Act as a consultant in the areas of conceptual and physical database design, development, implementation and maintenance
Desired Qualifications (Knowledge, skills, and abilities):
BA or BS degree in Systems, IT, Business Management, or related degree preferred; or equivalent experience
5+ years of overall experience in a technical job function, including hands-on experience in system and data analysis
Related industry experience is required: healthcare, insurance, financial services
Knowledge of datamart concepts
Strong data analysis skills
Familiarity with database administration, including Netezza and SQL Server is a plus
Familiarity with healthcare claims data, analytical processes and numeric schemes for clinical and scientific investigation.
Ability to work with large data sets interpreting both analytical algorithms and outcomes.
