POSITION SUMMARY:
The Real Estate Representative is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the buying, leasing, or governance activities of commercial real estate properties and special projects as directed by the Real Estate Manager. This position participates in all levels of real estate project development, providing a wide spectrum of input into the overall project delivery.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Locate and identify prospective expansion sites
Negotiate with owners for acquisition of properties
Negotiate with city officials, businesses, and special interest representatives to gain support for new projects and eliminate potential obstacles
Work with engineers and draftsmen to draw up detailed plans for new sites
Analyze information on property values, taxes, and zoning
Analyze population growth, traffic volume and shopping patterns in order to determine if properties should be acquired and constructed
Meet with management to discuss and resolve legal and operational issues or other disputes
Work with other Real Estate Team Members and corporate teams to ensure conformance with other corporate initiatives and standards
Obtain necessary governmental entitlements for Menard projects

Skills/Requirements
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Project Management, Business Management, Architecture, Real Estate or Law
Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
Effective organizational and multi-tasking abilities
Proficient with MS office products
Ability to read and understand blue prints is desirable
Some real estate transaction experience is desirable
