MEDICAL TECHNOLOGIST - LAB
PRN - FLEXIBLE
Doctors Hospital is seeking applications from qualified and experienced individuals to work as Medical Technician in the Laboratory. Under then direction of the Medical and Administrative Directors, the Medical Technician (MT) is responsible for the prompt, efficient, and accurate performance for all tests and tasked assigned to him/her. The MT is responsible for quality control, quality assurance, preventative maintenance, and patient testing. The MT is responsible for collaboration with Medical Technologist II, physicians and the laboratory Directors on all aspects of patient care. The MT prepares samples for examination, using automated equipment and specialized instrumentation, performs numerous complicated tests simultaneously and accurately interprets the results.
Required qualifications, experience and skills:
Bachelor's degree in Medical Tech, Chemical, Physical or Biological Sciences
ASCP or equivalent preferred
Minimum 2 years recent experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Urinalysis and Coagulation.
Knowledge of hospital laboratory practices, including infection control requirements, chemical and biological hazards
Basic understanding of computers
Ability to work effectively with others
