Roxbury Treatment Center is a private 112-bed sub-acute detoxification/rehabilitation and psychiatric center located at the foothills of the scenic Blue Mountains. In our 60-bed chemical dependency unit, detoxification is conducted under close medical supervision. The team of physicians and our around-the-clock nursing staff provide the needed assessment and care. The Recovery Program offers a professional approach to the treatment of chemical dependencies. Our treatment team includes Certified Addictions Counselors, Masters and Bachelors level clinicians, and nurses.

Our Military Initiative Program opened in June 2010 to treat active military personnel dealing with chemical dependency and mental health issues. The co-occurring program developed by our Treatment Team is a dynamic and multifaceted approach for this specialized treatment program.

Roxbury also has an acute psychiatric unit treating individuals with mental illnesses who need short-term hospitalization. This program specializes in treating adult patients who are suffering from co-occurring disorders mental illness and substance use/abuse issues. Staffed with mental health techs and nurses around the clock, our Chief Medical Officer and psychiatrists oversee this cutting edge psychiatric treatment program.

We also offer individual and group chemical dependency therapy at our outpatient clinics located in Carlisle and Chambersburg.

Roxbury recently opened an Adolescent (ages 13-17) Psychiatric Unit.

The position for which we are recruiting is a Full Time Night Licensed Practical Nurse working 32-40 hours, including every other weekend.

Graduate of an accredited licensed practical nursing program. One year prior experience in inpatient or mental health nursing, preferred.

Licensure and Certification: Licensure and registration by the Pennsylvania Board of Nurse Examiners as a licensed practical nurse.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, patient observation rounds, medication management, vitals, and group facilitation.

Environmental Conditions:

Exposure to psychiatric patients who may exhibit violent/aggressive behavior. Potential for exposure to communicable diseases, blood/body fluids and other hazardous waste. General hospital environment.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to communicate verbally and in writing. Physical agility to manage patients. Push, pull and lift up to 40 pounds. Intermittent sitting, standing, walking, bending and stooping. Drug and alcohol free as evidenced by negative results of post-offer, pre-employment urine drug screen.
