Registrar I - SJHS - admitting And Registration - Full-time / Part-time

The Registrar I may be responsible for any of the following: Registration; Customer Service; Insurance Verification; Financial Counseling; Scheduling; Bed Control; Cashier or Reception and must demonstrate proficiency in at least three of these modalities (one must be Registration) within 6 months of hire. Successful completion of additional modalities within department may qualify team member for career advancement (Registrar Career Ladder). Team member may be required to rotate shift periodically and take call. Team member will perform other duties as assigned. Education:

REQUIRED -- High School or GED

Experience:

Preferred -- One year Customer Service

Preferred -- One year Registration

Preferred -- One year Business office

Preferred -- One year Rev Cyc.

Preferred -- One year Insurance

Preferred -- One year Medical Terminology

Preferred -- One year Reimbursement

Preferred -- One year Collections

Preferred -- One year Denial

Preferred -- One year sales

Specific Skills:

REQUIRED -- Demonstrated knowledge of keyboarding and mouse

REQUIRED -- Spelling and basic grammar

REQUIRED -- Demonstrate effective teamwork, organizational skills, and able to work independently

REQUIRED -- Ability to work in a moderate to high stress environment
