RESPONSIBILITIES

The Operations Finance Manager is the primary finance support for the USMI Operations & IT groups. Reporting to the Director of Operation Analytics, this highly visible position will interact and influence Operations senior leadership members to report, analyze and interpret results while providing recommendations to improve operating efficiencies. Key responsibilities include Operating Expense Management and Forecasts, Key Performance Metrics Reporting, Project Financial Analysis, IT Spending Analysis and Monthly Senior Leadership Review Packages. This position will also lead the budget/strategic planning processes to help drive the overall operations strategy.

• Provide Monthly Departmental Expense Reports and Analysis
• Lead Monthly Operational Leadership Reviews providing insight into unit costs, productivity and capacity
• Develop Monthly Forecasts with actionable risks and opportunities
• Reporting of Key Operating Metrics and Executive Dashboards
• Ensuring Proper Spending Authorization and Coding
• Monthly Senior Leadership Review Package
• Financial Analysis of Key Initiatives/Projects and Post Mortem Reviews
• Strong ability to take large amounts of complex data and communicate it simply and meaningfully
• Partner with Operations Leadership to Identify Cost Management Initiatives and Detailed IT Program Spending and Analysis
• Communicate, Lead and Improve Budget/Strategic Planning Processes
• Monthly Close Analysis to Ensure Proper Accruals/Expenses
• Other Ad-Hoc Reporting/Analysis as required
• Liaison to HQ Finance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree required; Finance/Accounting degree preferred
• 7+ years finance experience

• Financial Planning & Analysis experience and ability to lead multi-functional budget/forecast processes
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Demonstrated ability to improve monthly close processes and controls
• Strong systems background
• Outstanding analytical, organizational and prioritization skills
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to Influence others
• Exceptional ability to meet aggressive deadlines
• Ability to work with little or no supervision
• Strong ability to work with all levels of the organization
• Excellent written, verbal , executive presentation skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous Mortgage Insurance or Servicing experience
• MBA
