Windows Server SME - Full-time / Part-time

Our client is looking for a Windows Server SME level Engineer/Architect to assist with an ongoing implementation/support project in Bellevue. This is a great opportunity to sharpen your skills in Hyper-V and make an immediate impact to a team that focuses on MS Bing data- marketing, data science, reporting, forecasting, and predictive analysis. This work may be done in a full time or part time capacity. The ideal scenario is to have the consultant come in for an initial assessment of the environment, and then work a few times per week (10-15 hours) as well as spot coordination outside of the core hours around the Data Scientists work.
The environment consists of 3 servers with the same basic model: 32 dual core processors tied to 10s of terabytes of data (more than 30). They have full licensing to work with Azure, so this is ideal for Azure enthusiast/engineers with that aptitude, and that can work in a petabyte level SQL server environment that poses interesting challenges and a complex technical roadmap.

Audit servers
Connectivity issues
Sizing - RAM/processors
Network teaming
Antivirus
Best practices
Assess and optimize current environment.
50-100% allocated 2-3 weeks and available for ad hoc work through FY16 (this will transition to an ongoing managed service by the end of the calendar year).
