Surgery Scheduler

Aerotek is hiring a surgery scheduler for one of our clients in Knoxville, TN!

This person would be responsible for working with patients and doctors to schedule surgeries and other orthopedic procedures.

Duties needed:
* Schedule/reschedule/cancel procedures
* Coordinate all documentation, including images, to performing entity
* Contact facilities for available time for procedure and/or MD schedule
* Responsible for scheduling all procedures except those defined as clinic responsibility
* Educate patients on all aspects of procedures.
* Schedule all pre-op clearance with PCP or specialist
* Coordination of surgical reps via HIPAA compliant channels
* Complete Informed Consents
* Work with physicians to maintain pre-op surgical protocols
* Schedule all follow-up appointments from procedure
* Call in prescriptions per MD protocol for procedures
* Scan and sort all documents related to schedule
* Coordinate with pre-cert department
* Maintain file to follow-up on tests

Requirements:

• 2 years of procedure scheduling experience
• Must be able to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
• Must have a friendly demeanor and a positive attitude
