SHIFT: 10HOUR, Day EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Part Time HRS PER PAY PERIOD: 70 JOB ID: 1500020372
This position requires a current California Pharmacist License, training and experience that demonstrates the following knowledge, skills and abilities. Knowledge of: pharmaco-therapeutics, therapeutic drug monitoring and therapeutic interventions, pharmaceutical supplies, drugs, chemicals and biologicals; federal and state regulations relating to pharmaceutical transactions, pharmacokinetics, supply management and inventory control. Skills: effective communication, both written and verbal. Ability to: enforce formulary decisions of the medical staff; maintain accurate and complete records; provide instruction and preceptorship on the subject of pharmacotherapeutics, its use and application.
This position requires extensive knowledge regarding
working in a USP 797 environment and the successful candidate should have
experience in this as well as acute in-patient distribution and clinical
pharmacy expertise as central pharmacy staffing is required. There is an
every other weekend staffing component.
The incumbent provides timely, accurate, and complete pharmaceutical care, which includes delivery of the appropriate product as well as drug information and drug usage interventions. Demonstrates competency in patient care for neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric patients.
The incumbent shall demonstrate behaviors consistent with the core (Mercy) values in support with Mercy San Juan Medical Center and the Mission and Philosophy of Dignity Health.
