SHIFT: 8HOUR, Day EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full Time HRS PER PAY PERIOD: 80 JOB ID: 1500010212
The Gift Officer will form a team with the President of Foundation, and Department team to manage a portfolio of principle donor accounts and corporations. The portfolio will consist of individuals, corporations, foundations and organizations. Gift Officer will move prospect and donor accounts through the traditional fundraising phases of identification, cultivation, solicitation and stewardship. They will be responsible for planning and successful implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program for the Sequoia Hospital Foundation focusing on gifts from corporations and donors of $500,000 or above.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university.
* 5-7 years of demonstrated successful corporate and/or fundraising experience.
* Proven success in asking for and closing major gifts and maintaining relationships with donors.
* Strong interpersonal skills, articulateness and poise.
* Proven success in building relationships with key volunteers, staff and colleagues coupled with demonstrative consensus-building skills.
* Ability to initiate, analyze, evaluate and alter strategic development plans for donors/prospects.
* Ability to use technology to gather, interpret, organize and present data.
* Ability to find creative solutions and make good decisions based on analysis and experience.
* Ability to work under pressure
PREFERRED:
* Master's Degree from an accredited college or university
* CFRE/FAHP
* Experience in a hospital or academic medical center
