Responsibilities

This position is responsible for leading, managing and motivating a team of data professionals focused on driving regional data account penetration by leveraging products and services while collaborating with E&G GEM, EDSM team, MAM’s, B2B Directors and Vertical Sales Teams to meet and exceed defined sales, retention, quality and service objectives. Duties include developing tactical business plans and maintaining forecasts to achieve maximum results. This position is quota bearing and responsible for the assigned regional Data Solution Engineers Team including targeting and developing data opportunities and effective management of  data support projects.

Performance Management: Responsible for driving team to achieving or exceed annual goals, metrics, and quotas for activated data lines, driving growth and promoting/selling data products and services including ODI, nPhase and converged services with VZB/VFG. Responsible for ongoing cross channel data training and sales support to ensure effective demonstration and sales and of products and services. Conducts sales meetings and executive briefings with potential and existing customers to establish strong working relationships and promote the quality of Verizon Wireless data products and services. Manages data presentations and summits. Formulates data sales plan for assigned locations or markets.

Customer Retention: Ensure that customers and prospective customers are treated with the highest levels of courtesy and professionalism. Resolves customer issues in a timely and empathetic manner. Maintain and grow existing customer base and manage churn.

Market & Industry Knowledge: Reviews and analyzes data sales results and market conditions to discover opportunities for growth. Develops strategies for channel leads to support growth opportunities for data products and services to grow market share and increase ARPU in vertical markets.
Remains current on all wireless products and services, industry and competitive trends, and reinforces findings with the team and Regional Director.

Staffing / Employee Relations: Prospect for new talent. Develop, train and coach sales team to produce desired high performance results. Make decisions regarding hiring, promotion, and disciplinary actions. Assess individuals and team performance and initiate developmental plans to narrow competency gaps.

All other duties as assigned

Qualifications

4 to 6 years sales management experience including staff development, preferably in a wireless/telecommunications environment
•2-3 years of sales experience in wireless data desired
•Solid understanding of Landline strategic and managed services and how it complements VZW portfolio.
•BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
•Experience managing large regional territories, budgets, and operations
•Superior organizational, interpersonal, communication, and operations skills
•Ability to meet aggressive deadlines, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and to work in a fast-paced, dynamic, customer and team-oriented work environment
•Excellent C-Level negotiation and closing skills are required
•Effective use of PC including Microsoft Office products
•Excellent time management skills
•Highly self-motivated with the ability to motivate others
•Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
•Excellent leadership skills
•Ability to present and persuade to various audiences
•Ability to travel, valid driver’s license, good driving record and proof of insurance
