Intern - Nonexempt - Industrial Engineer

The Intern Program for 2015 will focus on different areas within our manufacturing facility, such as Manufacturing, Engineering, Industrial Engineering, and Industrial Technology. Hands-on supervision will also be an important aspect of the program. Following are some of the types of projects that Interns may be assigned. Performing time observations for the basis of standard work implementation. Designing work layouts. Forecasting staffing requirements. Creating visual management systems related to continuous inprovement processes. Establishing schedule status. Modifying/creating manufacturing work plans. Interns will be employed full-time for the summer. The Company will determine the exact duration of the program, based on school schedule. At the end of the program, Interns will be expected to make a presentation to senior management, detailing highlights of their experience and accomplishments. Interns will be assigned to first shift, which is from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional overtime assignments may be required, including weekends.
