Key responsibilities include:
* Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting
* Providing activities-based care to residents, including guidance with physical activities, visitation, environmental adjustments and behavioral interventions
* Transferring residents to and from activities and meals according to their individual service plans
* Serving meals to residents in the dining room or their apartments and may assist in preparing meals
* Recording and reporting changes in resident eating habits to supervisor
* Initiating and participating in leisure activities provided for residents while encouraging independence

We seek the following qualifications:
* High school diploma or GED
* Must have complete Virginia state certification and provide copy of certification
* 2 years of caregiving experience
* Excellent communication and customer service skills
* Must be able to pass a drug screen, background check and must meet all health requirements (including TB)
* Flexibility with schedule - availability for day, evening, holiday and weekend shifts is required (often in rotation)
* Must enjoy working with the Senior Population
