Qualifications:
Position is focused on Government Banking portfolio credit management. In collaboration with the Relationship Manager(s), incumbent is responsible for monitoring, documenting, underwriting and reacting to the credit quality of an assigned portfolio of loans to municipal borrowers. Typically works with moderate to complex deals, has client interaction, and is actively engaged in managing the portfolio. This includes synthesizing industry and economic trends and the analysis of the financial performance of individual customers and underwriting of credit products and operating exposures. Works with clients directly to understand credit needs and represents the bank in how credits will be underwritten and structured to develop and maintain client relationships. Continuously looks for opportunities for revenue generation and cross-selling products and services which is shared with Relationship Managers. May or may not have revenue generation goals. Manages and promotes the maintenance of a portfolio that adheres to all applicable credit policies and compliance requirements.
5+ years experience working in underwriting, credit, and/or portfolio management Thorough knowledge of corporate banking credits, cash flow analysis and underwriting guidelines. Demonstrated ability to thoroughly analyze credits on an independent basis and communicate findings in a concise manner. Strong interpersonal communication skills and sound analytical thinking. 7+ years of experience working in underwriting, credit, and/or portfolio management. Knowledge of municipal banking credits.
