PHLEBOTOMIST, part time, 1-2 shifts/wk, days,eve - Full-time / Part-time

Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, registers patient information and orders laboratory tests in the computer system. Obtains and labels blood and other specimens for laboratory testing. Evaluates test requests for method, time, patient preparation and proper collection procedures. Computer receipt and preparation of laboratory specimens for testing. High school diploma or equivalent and previous training (i.e. Clinical rotation) and/or experience in phlebotomy required.*Phlebotomy certification (ASCP or equivalent) preferred.*Advanced computer skills required.*Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.*Additional languages preferred.*Ability to use various instruments, machines, tools, equipment and work aids as necessary toperform job duties.
