About this job

The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides caring and compassionate direct care in a clinic setting under the direction of a physician, assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the policies and procedures of the practice.

Provides quality patient care within scope of practice as established by the Texas Nurse Practice Act, providing patient education, communicating with team while escalating critical results and issues in an appropriate and timely manner.

Prioritizes, synthesizes and documents assessments and nursing plan of care using critical thinking and judgment.

Evaluates patients' responses and outcomes to education and interventions. Communicates effectively with collaborative team while escalating critical results and issues in an appropriate and timely manner.

Performs onsite and telephone triage using best practice guidelines and documentation to ensure patients receive the right level of care in the right setting at the right time by the right caregiver using the right equipment and supplies.

Participates in Quality Control measures to assure safe and efficient maintenance of stock/supplies and safe use of equipment.

Supervision of MA's

Assists medical providers, and maintains a clean and safe environment in accordance with the practice policies and procedures

Assist in assessment of patient needs and health plan by taking vital signs, patient history, medication listing, assessment of chief complaint

Prepares equipment and assists physicians with medical treatments, exams, and medical procedures

Required Certified LVN or licensed professional

3 years of professional nursing experience in a clinical setting required

Ability to communicate professionally with physicians and staff members using medical terminology

Must have great customer service and outstanding personality must deal tactfully and professionally with patients, families, staff and physicians

EMR/EHR documentation experience required

Must have the ability to multitask and type 25 WPM

Dependable, responsible and must have strong work ethic-TEAM PLAYER
