We seek a passionate leader who can successfully direct program staff to provide high quality services to individuals we support. In this role you will manage the day-to-day operations with the support of your Area Director, Quality Assurance and Human Resources team. Job Responsibilities:

  • Manages the day to day operations and budgets of two residential homes in compliance with regulatory, contractual, corporate and legal requirements
  • Interview, select and supervise staff including all shift scheduling and ensuring coverage
  • Lead, develop and inspire team providing on-going performance coaching and appraisals
  • Supervise program staff by providing continuous coaching, feedback and progressive discipline when necessary.
  • Assign caseloads, evaluate performance for quality assurance, conduct new employee orientation, and manage staff development and training.
  • Completes purchasing of program supplies and submits billing compliance documentation
  • Ensures homes are clean, neat, and safe; and works with and/or contacts maintenance as appropriate
  • Develop and maintain quality services and engaging activities that meet the individuals needs
  • Attend client meetings as required to coordinate services with all interested parties
  • Develop and maintain working relationships with clients, families, funding sources and regulatory agencies as appropriate, and monitor their satisfaction with services
  • Responsible for Quality Assurance compliance including incident reporting
  • Develop and oversee implementation of ISP’s (Individual Service Plans) and IHP’s (Individual Health Care Plans) as well as coordinate support services (medical appointments, dental care, etc)
  • Process referrals, intakes, assessments, matching and placement of new clients.
  • Provide resources for staff concerning theories and current research relevant to program development.
  • Monitor the supports needed for clients to maximize success in the program.
  • Work in collaboration with consultants (physicians, dieticians, respiratory/occupational/physical/recreational therapists).
Qualifications

What we require of you:

  • Have at least two years of administrative and supervisory experience including at least 1 year of which must be working in facility for individuals with developmental disabilities AND has one or more of the following qualifications:
    • A Licensed RN
    • A licensed Nursing Home Administrator
    • A licensed Psychiatric Technician with a minimum of 5 years working with individuals with developmental disabilities
    • An individual with a bachelor’s or more advanced degree in the health and human service field and two years’ experience working in a licensed residential program for persons with developmental disabilities and special health care needs.
  • ARF Administrator Certification Preferred or ARF Certification course to be completed prior to working with clients.
  • DSP Year 1 and 2 Certification
  • Obtain CPR/First Aid and AED prior to working with clients.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance
  • Must pass background investigation that includes FBI/DOJ fingerprint check
  • Knowledge of the requirements for providing the type of care and supervision needed by clients, including the ability to communicate with such clients
  • Ability to apply critical thinking and understanding, to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Ability to deal with problems, involving several concrete and abstract variables in standardized and non-standardized situations
  • Experience working in a team environment with a diverse staff while demonstrating excellent leadership skills
  • Ability to work evenings and weekend; emergency on call coverage and availability
