responsible for insurance premium collections. Positions in this function
contact customers to determine reason for payment delinquency, negotiate and
advise on collection of overdue bills and take appropriate action to recover
overdue payments. Handling of unresolved inquiries/issues, and responsible for
developing, implementing, maintaining and managing organization policies on
collection practices. May work with outside legal counsel and/or outside
agencies in more complex collection cases.

Primary Responsibilities:

Receive and review all correspondence daily from the
home officeFollow up on assigned insurance accounts.Assist all hospital employees with any needs that
arise.Make outgoing insurance calls on Ingram accounts.Act as an on-site liaison between Ingram and Associates
and the hospital; Notify Management of any issues or concerns that may
arise.Limited work experience.Works on simple tasks using established procedures.Depends on others for guidance.Work is typically reviewed by others.

Requirements

Requirements:High School Diploma or GED 1+ years of experience with UB04,UB92 and/or HCFA 15001+ years of related experience with either Healthcare Billing and/or Healthcare Collections Understanding of State and/or Federal rules as they relate to government payers Working knowledge of insurance carriers' billing regulations and requirements (this includes claims submission, claims follow-up, appeals process, and focused review processes) Understanding of benefits requirements, on-line claims editing, submission, and reconciliation proceduresAssets: 1+ years of Medicare payer experienceSoft Skills: Demonstrated success working in a team environment focused on meeting organization goals and objectivesCareers with OptumInsight.
