The company is part of Optum, a family of UnitedHealth Group businesses dedicated to improving the health and well-being of Americans.We're looking for Clinical Account Executive Pharmacist with a background in managed care to join our Irvine, California-based client services team. As the Clinical Account Executive Pharmacist, you will assist health plan clients with formulary management and audit support activities, review of utilization data and providing consultative recommendations, and supporting the account management team for all clinical projects and programs. This position will require up to 25% travel to meet with clients in person across the United States. Experience in working with Medicaid and/or Medicare Part D plans is preferred. The Clinical Account Executive Pharmacist's assigned health plan clients will comprise Medicare Part D and Medicaid plans in several states. Primary Responsibilities:Serving in a leadership role in managing Part D and Medicaid clients, with an emphasis on identifying unmet clinical needs and developing effective solutions.Managing complex, ongoing clinical projects to successful outcome.Working extensively with other internal departments (clinical, claims administration, network management, rebate contracting) to ensure that clients? service level standards and clinical needs are met.Establishing strong and effective working relationships with key clients, including traveling to meet with them in person as appropriate. Providing a clinical leadership role within the account management team. Assisting clients with the formulary management and audit process. Presenting client utilization information and consultative recommendations to clients during quarterly business review meetings.Designing and interpreting client utilization reports and recommending benefit changes or utilization management strategies to assist clients in maximizing the value of their pharmacy benefit.Analyzing data and identifying gaps in service, and working with the account team to provide solutions. Giving presentations to prospective clients. Assisting sales with responses to requests for proposals (RFPs).

Requirements

Required Qualifications:A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree with 2 to 3 years of experience or B.S. in Pharmacy with at least 10 years? experiencePharmacist license in state of residenceProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independentlyA proactive, ‘can do' approachExcellent presentation skillsAlready Fortune 14, we are totally focused on innovation and change.
