Sodexo currently has a job opening for a General Manager to join our team at Beverly Hospital in Montebello, California. Our General Manager 4 of Food Services will report directly to the District Manager and will be responsible for day to day oversight of all food and nutrition services for this mid-sized acute care facility. Sodexo provides best in class services for patient dinning, retail cafeteria operations and catering.

Additional Job Responsibilities include:

Directs the daily operations for patient services, retail sales and catering volume on an annual basis for healthcare facility. Integrate fully within our client's organization becoming a trusted advisor and member of the accounts leadership team. Works to achieve company and client financial targets and goals. Works to achieve high quality patient, physician and employee satisfaction scores. Oversees patient meal service -- "traditional tray line", one retail operations, and internal catering volume. Responsible for all Sodexo and client required reporting. Responsible for collaborating with the client on achieving annual operational projects and goals. Ensures compliance to food safety, sanitation, and overall workplace safety standards. Must meet (or exceeding) Sodexo standards of operations. Creates a positive environment and successfully motivates and manages team. If you have the following skillsets, then we would love to hear from you:

Candidates for this General Manager position should be Certified Dietary Managers or have a Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or a similar B.S. degree. Registered Dietician certification is a bonus. Dynamic, energetic leader with operational understanding and experience of patient food service in a healthcare setting. Experience in a high volume, high caliber Sodexo healthcare account preferred. Exceptional knowledge of patient feeding operations and understanding of clinical nutrition side of food service management is preferred. Previous leadership experience with proven ability to successfully lead and engage a team. Ability to be innovative while collaborating with directors and c-suite hospital level hospital employees to drive Sodexo and client objectives. Ability to drive strong patient satisfaction and employee engagement scores. Professional verbal and written communication skills. A passion for a high level of customer service. Experience in developing strong customer relationships. Excellent computer skills and report management experience, preferably project management experience. Strong attention to company policy, standards, and regulations. Strong financial acumen. Ability to multitask and proven effectiveness in a fast paced healthcare environment. Strong understanding of forecasting, food cost management, purchasing, inventory and labor management concepts. Knowledgeable in compliance to food safety (HACCP), sanitation and overall workplace safety standards. Ability to work in a collaborative team environment while fostering strong client and customer relationships.

Position Summary

Directs all contract management service operations at a single account/unit. Plans and supervises special functions. Maintains cash control and payroll records. Hires and trains unit personnel. Maintains customer satisfaction and good public relations. Manages through managers and is accountable for the contract. Senior-most person assigned to a one client account.

Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 4 years
