Description
Medline Industries, Inc. has an immediate openings for a Shipping Department Lead. We are seeking dynamic, hard-working people. A desire to work for a fast-paced, large corporate organization is a plus. In addition you must have a “roll-up your sleeves” attitude.
The challenging responsbilities of the position include:
- Effectively and accurately wave planning workload, and tracking appropriately.
- Anticipating and coordinating scheduling needs and workflow to satisfy customer needs.
- Training and mentoring team members throughout the facility in the areas of productivity, quality, safety and Medline Core Values.
- Ensuring that all LMS observations are completed on time and are filled out accurately.
- Assisting in maintaining a safe work environment for DC team members, includin: retraining team members and supporting a safety culture through team meetings and activities to enhance safety awareness.
- Ensuring timely and accurate order receipt and shipment.
- As a member of the DC leadership team this position will be responsible in ensuring accuracy of the inventory.
- Performing slot checks and slot maintenance.
- Supervising branch team members in various areas (i.e. shipping, replenishment, receiving, dock, etc.).
- Assisting with picking, checking, loading and processing inbound and outbound product.
- Effectively communicating with branch management regarding daily operations.
Qualification
- High school diploma. 1-2 years lead experience.
- Candidate must have a high sense of urgency and customer service.
- Ability to effectively speak before groups of team members and customers of Medline.
- Have the ability to multi task in a fast pace work environment. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Operate MHE if necessary.
- Proficient in SAP & Catalyst.
- Proficient to read, write, and speak in English.
- Proficient in arithmetic.
