Wekiva Springs Center is a 120-bed acute behavioral health hospital providing quality care in a gender-specific program for men and women . We provide treatment for mental health, addictions and dual diagnosis concerns in a warm and caring atmosphere near I-95 and J Turner Butler in Southside area.
Job Duties for a Housekeeper include the following:
Perform routine cleaning tasks of patient rooms, offices and public areas.
-Vacuum, dust, mop, sweep and take out trash.
-Ensure that adequate linens are kept in the facility.
-Clean areas with disinfectants.
-Refill supplies (paper products, soap, etc.)
Keep cleaning supplies and equipment safely stored when not in use and away from patients' access when in use
Assist the Lead Housekeeper and the Director of Plant Operations as needed.
Report any situations that may affect the health and well being of patients or employees.
Assist in assuring a safe and risk preventative environment.
Ensures that adequate linens are kept in the facility.
Cleans areas with disinfectants.
Comply with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations and Safety/Risk Management plans, policies and procedures.
Assures that supply closets are kept clean and orderly.
Keeps cleaning supplies and equipment safely stored when not in use and away from patients' access when in use.
Ensures cleaning cart is properly secured and stocked each day.
Use time constructively and in an organized manner to accomplish assigned responsibilities.
Address patients, visitors, and co-workers in a pleasant and respectful manner.
Reports any situations that may affect the health and well being of patients or employees.
Assists in securing a safe and risk preventative environment.
Complies with established measures for infection control, OSHA regulations and Safety/Risk Management plans, policies and procedures.
Qualified candidates must have the following:
Must have some high school education
Able to understand and comprehend instructions and directions regarding housekeeping and the general operations of the hospital
Must have a minimum of 1-year experience in Commercial Housekeeping, preferably in a Healthcare setting
Must be willing to maintain an excellent level of cleanliness and sanitary surroundings for the hospital
Must exhibit good people skills
Must be willing to work Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (May rotate with some weekends off) from 8a to 4:30 daily
Able to manuever throughout the hospital, lift 25 pounds, bend, stoop and stand for long periods of times. Must be able to physically do the requirements of the position.
