" JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse, contributes to the delivery of patient-centered care through: Performance of selected day-to-day patient care activities. Maintenance of an environment that is functionally and aesthetically conducive to patient well-being. Demonstrates unit/area designated competencies. Interacts with patients considering their developmental, age specific, cultural spiritual p references.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE; CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must have either a current certified nurse assistant registration in the State of Michigan; current EMT-Paramedic license in the State of Michigan; current Licensed Practice Nurse license in the State of Michigan; or be a nursing student with completion of two direct patient care clinical courses. Also required is either three months experience as a Patient Care Associate (PCA), Patient Care Tech (PCT) and/ or nurse aide; or, minimum of three months of other related health care experience. BLS required within one month of hire.
