 The Senior Manager will be responsible for organizing and managing the COM Multichannel Environments and Support team. Responsible for defining the team mission, goals and objectives, operations and processes, roles and responsibilities, and staffing needs. Ideal candidate will have experience managing an L3 team, handling outage calls, and minor enhancement releases.

COM stands for Customer Order Management and is our OMS solution for the company.  Sterling OMS is the center of the solution and a variety of Java services surround it, comprising what we internally call the COM solution.  This solution is responsible for holding our available to promise inventory picture for the company, facilitating our cross channel sales, and being our OMS for the company’s orders.  


The criticality of this solution cannot be underscored enough.  The Senior manager of the team is responsible for ensuring there are no service interruptions, assessing current state and creating a roadmap to evolve the support monitoring and processes in line with the criticality.  In addition, this position is responsible for driving out inefficiencies across the entire stack and working with the respective owners to improve.

 

 

 

 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -


-10 plus years experience in related field; 5 to 7 of which is in a leader/ team lead capacity.
-Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related filed preferred.
-
Experience with Sterling OMS
-Experience partnering with cross functional teams to solve problems.
-Technical background required - familiarity with simplifying processes, enabling operational dashboards, and recommending changes to increase stability and reduce downtime.
-Ability to define process SOP, document requirements, and develop training and change management documents to support change.
-Ability to work with Operations and understand reporting needs.
-Ability to work in a team environment.
-Confident communicator with strong presentation skills.
-Customer Service Oriented.

-Demonstrated leadership attributes.

MAJOR TASKS, RESPONSIBILITIES AND KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES -

Builds relationship with key user and store operation groups to identify and resolve business issues.
Manages and tracks the progress of multiple work streams, including ability to provide status up in the organization, assist with forecast spend projections and preparing forward looking budgets.Manages and tracks the progress of multiple projects. Project management and administration that include work plans, projtrac, resource planning and control, writing status reports, and preparing annual budgets. Conduct regular project reviews.
Resolves information services problems by analyzing issues, discerning the most appropriate courses of action, providing tactical direction and, when necessary, reallocating resources.
Provides operations analysis and consults to internal clients on business process improvement.
Conducts financial analyses to support strategic planning on system purchases, upgrades and reclamation. Negotiates favorable prices with vendors on hardware and software.
Communicates status of activities with the team, peers, management, and end-users.
Selects, develops and motivates assigned staff.



NATURE AND SCOPE

Typically reports to a Director of Information Services or Senior Vice President
Direct reports may include Managers of IS and various IS department Associates.
Typically requires frequent persuasion or influencing of others
Typically faces situations that have a variety of interpretations and require careful evaluation.
Typically considers different options or procedures when solving problems.
Typically expected to provide status reports to management.


ENVIRONMENTAL JOB REQUIREMENTS
-

Under constant pressure to continuously meet tight deadlines, demanding quotas and/or must regularly deal with difficult situations.

Must be comfortable reporting out to C suite executives on stability and roadmap

 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS -

Must be eighteen years of age or older.
Must pass the Drug Test.
Must successfully complete any required training or orientation courses.

EDUCATION REQUIRED -

The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diplomas and/or GED.
