Summary: To ensure all guests are greeted and seated in a friendly and courteous manner using appropriate procedures, in accordance with Omni Standards. To handle all payment transactions for all foods and/or beverages purchased in the hotel's restaurants. To follow, enforce, comply and adhere to all Bob's Steak Chop House rules, policies, procedures, standards and recipes at all times.
Responsibilities:
Assist managers in opening and closing of the restaurant.
Answering phone calls.
Takes reservations as needed (comfortable with OpenTable).
Responsible for greeting and seating guests.
Introduce server to guest.
Control heavy volume at Restaurant entrance.
Knowledge of hotel property.
Inform the guest about buffets.
Knowledge of daily specials.
Attend to and anticipate guest's needs.
Familiarization with menu.
Take Room Service food/beverage orders over phone when needed and forward check to server/manager.
Receives all restaurant checks from the waiter, waitress, or guest and processes them to the proper payment method.
Post all checks into the POS system using the correct check number for reference as well as check control purposes.
Balance cash drawer with your cashier report. (Proper cash handling)
Pays tips and/or gratuities out to the waiters and waitresses.
Counts change fund and secures it in an assigned bank box.
Job Requirements
The successful candidate must have excellent guest service and presentation skills.
Candidate must have at least two years of restaurant experience.
Previous experience with Open table reservation experience is preferred.
Candidate must have flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
