Destination Maternity Corporation has an exciting career opportunity for an Assistant Manager in our Motherhood Maternity store in Leesburg, VA .
Responsibilities
Assist in meeting and exceeding store sales goals and achieve productivity standards.
Hold self and team accountable to divisional/operational standards and productivity goals.
Share with Store Manager sales successes, business opportunities, and concerns.
Assist in training and developing associates to maximize their potential and performance.
Ensure that visual/marketing presentation is consistent throughout the store.
Demonstrate knowledge of maternity customer and general knowledge of fashion, style, quality, sizing and distribution.
Support and ensure company operational standards including Company policies and procedures, and other home office directives are being followed.
Job Requirements :
Required Experience and Abilities
Minimum one year of experience in a retail store management role.
Possess strong business acumen and decision making skills.
Ability to lead and motivate team to achieve business goals.
Ability to be mobile in a store including standing, walking, bending, squatting, kneeling, reaching, and/or twisting, for up to eight hours or more per day
Personal Qualities
Excellent leader, excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Confident; strong work ethic.
Strong management skills.
The ability to think independently and act cooperatively.
Contributes to a fun and energizing work environment.
Proven integrity and high ethical standards.
