Providence is calling a Per Diem Varied Shift Patient Service Center Phlebotomist Service Representative to Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center
In this position you will:
Perform Outreach Laboratory functions to include, but not limited to, phlebotomy, registration, accessioning, order entry, processing, report delivery, inventory control, and client maintenance.
Interact in a positive, professional manner with couriers, client service and all other laboratory staff as well as presents an amiable and professional demeanor to patients and physician office staff.
Solve problems independently and appropriately knows when to hand off to supervisor/manager.
Prepare supplies and reports to deliver to physician offices and is able to use computer system for result inquiry, order entry, and billing inquiry.
Maintain records in a secure, HIPAA compliant manner and adheres to clinical and laboratory compliance regulations.
Perform all job related functions using independent judgment, and is able to use excellent reasoning and communication skills when responding to all internal and external clients.
Required qualifications for this position include:
California Phlebotomy Certificate
Current California Driver's License
At least 3 years recent phlebotomy experience, preferably in an outpatient setting.
Able to operate office equipment, as printers, copiers, faxes, cell phones, pagers, multi-line phones.
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
High school or equivalent
