Providence is calling a Quality Improvement Specialist to the TCHAP Departments at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK.
The Quality Improvement Specialist will support the quality improvement program for the Children's Hospital (TCHAP) through the collection, compilation, and aggregation of data and by identifying and leading performance improvement projects.
In this position you will:
Apply knowledge/expertise in quality improvement methodology to identify, lead, and consult with others for improvement projects and ongoing initiatives.
Assist with development and delivery of education offerings for TCHAP related to quality, patient safety, and healthcare standards. Monitor effectiveness of education and recommend/initiate improvements.
Collect, measure, and analyze data to evaluate organizational / departmental performance on key quality indicators and standards.
Required qualifications for this position include:
Baccalaureate level degree in clinical discipline or health-related field
Three (3) years of recent health care-related experience
Familiarity with data retrieval, manipulation, analysis, display and presentation
Knowledge of standard PC software
Preferred qualifications for this position include:
Certification as Health Care Quality Professional
