DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Counting drawer before and after shift and verify the count.

2. Make proper change without mechanical assistance.

3. Responsible for employee sign-in sheet.

4. Accurately record employee discounts on sign-in sheet.

5. Courteously answer telephone calls and answer or direct calls properly.

6. Assist patrons with questions or inquiries regarding the facility operations and boat schedules.

7. Accurately complete credit card transactions.

8. Responsible for keeping work area clean and neat.

9. Greet and assist guests in a friendly manner.

10. Direct busses and tour groups.

11. Section dining rooms into stations.

12. Report to Shift Supervisor any problems or guest complaints.

13. Must assist patrons in answering questions and direct them to areas of safety during emergencies as instructed by management, security or senior crewmembers.

14. Assure exceptional customer service to all patrons by communicating in a pleasant, friendly, and professional manner at all times.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Physical - Must be able to:

1. Use an electronic cash register accurately.

2. Have manual dexterity.

3. Use a calculator.

4. Be mobile throughout entire restaurant area/all floors.

5. See - to handle cash and credit transactions.

6. Hear - to answer patrons' questions. Can be augmented by a hearing aid.

7. Climb steps repeatedly.

Mental - Must be able to:

1. Read all reports, memos, schedules, credit card transactions and correspondence.

2. Know basic math skills.

3. Speak.

4. Understand and comply with Policies and Procedures, job description, daily memorandum and other instructions.

5. Must be able to work under stressful conditions.

Qualifications:

PREREQUISITES/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.

GAMING:

Must have the ability to hold an Occupational License as required by the Illinois Gaming Board.
