JOB SUMMARY:

Deal poker card games to patrons.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :

* Responsible for dealing casino poker games as assigned in order to provide a courteous and entertaining experience for Harrah's guests and generate revenue for the department.

* Provide game instructions to guests when requested or as assigned in order to encourage game activity. Sponsors new dealers as needed in order to provide new hires with adequate on the job training.

* Provide game protection by keeping visual contact of all guests and game layout.

* Initiate courteous and friendly conversation with guests.

* Perform dealing services at assigned table to gaming customers in accordance with the System of Internal Controls, Missouri Gaming Commission Regulations and Game Rules.

* Maintains a continuous inspection of cards, ensuring the security of assigned game at all times. Communicate all pertinent information to supervisor.

* Seat customers whenever necessary.

* May be asked to perform the function of Poker Brush.

* W ashes and resorts cards whenever necessary. Assist in updating player waiting lists when necessary.

* Must be able to deal Poker (Texas Hold 'em).

* Deal game at a pace that delivers consistent, continuous action for guests.

* Follow procedures at all times, maintain high level of concentration, maintain or develop dealing skills.

* Communicates to Poker Supervisor as necessary while on the game and when being

relieved, by a new dealer.

* Fast-paced high volume environment.

* Create a fun and exciting atmosphere where guests can have fun at his/her table

* Friendly, outgoing personality a must.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Ability to uphold and demonstrate the highest level of integrity in all situations and recognize standards required by a regulated business. Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to obtain Missouri Gaming License. Must pass background check and hair follicle drug test. Must be able to work any day of the week and any shift, including holidays and weekends. Must present a well-groomed appearance. Minimum six months to a year cash handling experience strongly preferred within high volume industries. Must have excellent customer service/communication skills. Knowledgeable in data entry, read and interpret output from a computer Gaming knowledge that should include the actual dealing of Poker Must have broad knowledge of casino rules, regulations, and procedures, including good games security. Must be guest service oriented, with excellent employee relations skills Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team

WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to work independently along with a team mentality. Must be able to bend, twist, turn, push and pull, as well as lift and carry above/below the shoulders a minimum of 25 lbs or more. Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time or entire shift. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Is able to tolerate areas containing second-hand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights and dust. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to maneuver around office areas, effectively work in high traffic areas and responds to visual and aural cues. Mathematical abilities including addition and subtraction/accurate record keeping strongly required. Must have the dexterity to grip and work necessary items (chips, 10 key adding machine, money bags, computers, money, etc.). Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations * Ability to perform full duties of dexterity and visual perception
