Work task (description of the main task’s)
o Able to satisfactorily pass the in-company forklift training program.
o Ability to use for lifts, pallet jacks and dollies to move stock or reorganize storage.
o Operate industrial forklift to perform material handling assignments.
o Maintain organization of shipping & receiving area.
o Maintain organization of storage area.
o Maintain inventory control of storage area.
o Prepare shipping documents.
o Working knowledge of Excel.
o Verify materials against invoices to insure the accuracy of the delivery.
o Perform vehicle inspection as required by OSHA.
o Operate equipment / machinery in a safe and orderly manner at all times.
o Maintain the Incoming/Outgoing log by recording all transactions.
o Participate in routing, counting and inspecting items while loading and unloading trucks.
o Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
o Properly dispose of materials according to DHEC and HAZMAT guidelines.
o Provide job training to lower level employees.
o Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

Profile of Qualifications
- High school diploma and experience in forklift operation, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills, mainly Excel.
- Good hand to eye coordination and motor skills.
- A high degree of attention is required in order to prevent injury to self and others.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
- Must possess strong communication skills and work well alone or as a member of a team.
- Good attendance record, performance record and ability to work well with others.

- Ability to follow directions well and understand simple written instructions, memos and standard operating procedures.

- Willingness to cross train between facilities.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
