MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes is a fast-casual, "better burger" concept offering mouthwatering made-to-order burgers, French fries hand cut from Idaho potatoes, and real ice cream shakes. We are actively expanding in the northeast and are looking to fill multiple positions in Westchester County, NY - specifically Briarcliff Manor and Larchmont. Job Description: GRILL STATION COOK
REPORTS TO: General Manager/MOD (Manager on Duty)
REQUIRED TRAINING/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: High School diploma or equivalent helpful, but not required. Former culinary education helpful; at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
Expected start date is late September 2015
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.
* Good hearing for accurate communication.
* Able to communicate fluently in English.
* Must be in good physical condition.
* Ability to work well with others.
* Follows safety procedures.
* Have reliable transportation.
Responsibilities/Duties:
* Prepare station menu items according to specified product information in a timely manner with attention to detail and quality.
* Responsible for grilling burgers, hot dogs, bacon, mushrooms, and onions.
* Knowledge of food handling, cooking, storage, date rotation and sanitation.
* Have a commitment to provide exceptional customer service.
* Demonstrate a positive attitude and great team work.
* Thrive in a fast paced environment.
* Assume prep duties as needed.
* Maintain a clean grill station during your shift. Perform special cleaning duties as specified by the Manager.
* Attend all employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
* Avoid leaving work area during peak periods.
* Keep a clean and professional appearance at all times.
* Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager/Assistant Manager.
* Willing to have fun, while smiling and making positive, friendly eye contact with the GUESTS. Has a good understanding and plays and active role in Guest Obsession.
