Job Description

GENERAL SUMMARY: The Distribution Center Finance – Sr. Analyst provides financial support to key business leaders and to local DC business partners. Primary responsibilities include monthly forecast and close, gate keeper responsibilities for all capital expenditures, producing and providing insight to reports and ad hoc analysis to aid leadership team in making data driven decisions.



ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS : The position reports to the Manager, Distribution Center Finance located in San Francisco.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Monthly forecasting ownership, including variance analysis and leadership communication

· Develop new methodologies and tools to drive continuous improvement in forecast timing and accuracy

· Actively participate in the development of the annual operating budget and target setting exercise

· Hyperion Essbase Administration responsibilities for DC Finance expense and performance metrics

· Manage monthly close process, ensuring completeness of accruals, identifying and researching income statement variances to budget and forecast, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement

· Facilitate capital discussions with DC partners, coordinate approval process and track expenditures during project implementation

· Perform quarterly SOX controls

· Perform ad hoc analysis to drive data decision making for the leadership team

· Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams

Qualification



Knowledge & Skills

· Strong knowledge of financial and accounting concepts

· Strong working knowledge of MS Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint

· Experience in the development and execution of financial models

· Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase and Oracle financial systems

· Proven analytical ability and creative problem solving skills

· Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills

· Detail oriented with strong organizational skills

· Solid interpersonal skills with proven ability to develop and maintain effective business partner relationships at all levels of the organization

· Team player with a positive attitude

Minimum Education Level

· Bachelor’s Degree Finance, Accounting or Business Administration required

Minimum experience:

· Minimum 3-4 years professional experience in finance/accounting
  • Experience in budgeting and forecasting using complex models
  • Experience in Supply Chain/Logistics preferred.


Other requirements:
  • Some travel required
