Material Handler Associate

Pay : $9.00 / hr

We Pay For Performance

Possibility of a pay increase to $9.50/hr

Upon solid performance review rating at the 90 day performance evaluation

Must have open/flexible availability Mon-Sun

Position Overview

This is an entry level position working at our store location. You will work with a team of retail and operations professionals and help ensure we make the best use of our resources to help achieve our mission. We prefer you are a team player, professional who is willing to "roll up your sleeves!”

Responsibilities (include but not limited to) :

Areas Include: Baler Operator, Material Handler, Shipping/Receiving

· Operate and maintain hydraulic jack, forklift, and pallet stacker.

· Follow product flow principles for all production areas.

· Maintain organized flow of product to the trailer.

· Track and report on the outgoing product and palletize the product accordingly to ensure there is limited interruption in production process.

· Identify and label several different types of product for shipping to include product type and destination.

· Organize, track and report inventory in the production/warehouse area.

· Work with supervisors to identify, track and forecast product usage and formulate orders accordingly.

· Maintain and enforce safety standards in assigned area.

· Work with the different departments and supervisors to properly assess product needs.

· Load/unload trucks with product inventory.

· Maintain rhythm and focus amongst interruptions and changing job responsibilities.

· Follow all safety standard s.

Qualifications :
  • To be a high-energy, positive thinker.
  • Require: previous warehouse, material/product handling, or shipping/receiving experience.
  • Able to withstand prolonged standing, bending and lifting up to 8 hours per day.
  • Able to withstand strenuous activities such as physical lifting and moving of furniture and other heavy items.
  • Able to repetitively lift over 50lbs, use dolly, hydraulic jack, pallet stacker, and forklift as required.
  • Able to move and think quickly.
  • Able to adapt to changing responsibilities and work with multiple interruptions.
  • To bring a sense of urgency.
  • Desire to work hard and perform well with dedication and great work ethic.
  • Communicate effectively with managers, supervisors and other associates.
  • Embrace the Goodwill vision and mission.
