Entry Level Software Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

My client is looking for a Software Engineer that will be writing new code and reworking some existing code in embedded linux command line using Python. The Software Engineer will be setting up the interface between the customer or command center and the equipment. It will track a status log and events along with how the system is running. There are fans that run at variable speeds and the water released has to be tightly controlled based on wind, heat, humidity etc. so that the water evaporates before it hits the ground. If mud is created it can lead to hoof rot or mastidas if they lay in wet dirt. There are also shade curtains that go up and down to block out the direct sun exposure. All of these variables are tracked and the customer is able to adjust all of the different stations from a command station. Web development using Python with a pyramid framework.

Pylons Framework is an open source Web application framework written in Python. It makes extensive use of the Web Server Gateway Interface standard to promote re usability and to separate functionality into distinct modules. It is strongly influenced by Ruby on Rails: two of its main components, Routes and WebHelpers, are Python re-implementations of Rails features.
