Manager SAS Reporting - Santa Ana, CA - Full-time / Part-time

Primary Responsibilities:


Create reports for internal and external clients (i.e. healthcare utilization data)

Develop new applications and complete ad hoc analysis to support business requests

Collect and organize information on problems or procedures

Analyze data gathered and potential solutions

Confer with personnel concerned to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures

Develop and implement records management program for filing, protection, and retrieval of records, and assure compliance with program

Review and confer with management and users about format, distribution, and purpose, and to identify problems and improvements

Check quality of program, reports, and findings before delivery

Provide requirement and guidance to the junior analysts to ensure accuracy and increase efficiency of the programs

Document findings and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes

Also, design, evaluate, recommend, and approve changes

Required Qualifications:



Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

3+ years of experience writing advanced programming in SAS

3+ years of experience integrating data from large relational databases

Intermediate level of proficiency with Excel required (including pivot tables, sumifs,and VLOOKUP)

Demonstrated experience in leading analytical projects with cross-functional teams

Excellent communication and writing skills
Preferred Qualifications:


Bachelor's degree in Bio-statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, Finance, Health Administration or related field 

4+ years of experience writing advanced programming in SAS or SQL

1+ year of management experience

Health Care industry experience

Experience reviewing SAS code
