Job Description:
Techs will be responsible for traveling to job sites anywhere from Pennsylvania, to along the lower east coast, and as far west as Nebraska. Candidates need to have their own reliable vehicle to travel in, but could travel with crews of 5-10. Job duties will require working 40-50 feet in the air and will be using a pressure washers (under 2500psi) to clean cooling towers. Will also be doing general cleanup such as hauling lumber, trash, or using power tools to cut wood and grind. Construction responsibilities will include erecting wood, tightening bolts, and reading blueprints for the construction projects.
Work Environment:
Working on-site at utilities and manufacturing plants to clean/repair/retrofit cooling towers. Candidates must be able to work 2-4 weeks at a time on the job site then come home for a week off. When they are onsite they will be working about 70 hour weeks. This is an outdoor job for the most part as well.
Compensation:
There is a per diem and mileage pay as well as complete fuel reimbursement.
Performance Expectations:
Reliability, teamwork, and safety are the most important aspects of this job. They will be expected to work as a team and help out where needed in a safe manner. They will have safety training prior to being on the job site. Reliability is also key; candidates must understand they will be on the road for weeks at a time, and must be comfortable doing so without being overwhelmed and quitting the job.
