Sodexo's Health Care Division is seeking a Custodial Manager I for Glendale Adventist Medical Center, Glendale CA. GAMC is a 515 bed acute care hospital serving the Northern Greater Los Angeles market. Services offered at GAMC range from all levels of acute care, full surgical services, emergency medical services, Maternity, Behavioral Health, Rehab and full Critical Care services. The unit operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Ability to communicate (speak and write) in English and Spanish will assist in managing this workforce. This position will work Evenings and some Holiday's/Weekends may be required. Relocation is not offered.
The successful candidate must be:
Flexible and have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment Customer focused to enhance or improve the experience of the staff and patients Strong Custodial/Floor-Care experience required Bilingual Spanish Preferred Actively involved in Diversity Awareness Previous Management experience in a Hospital preferred Able to lead and strong communication skills.Results and safety driven.
The "Hands-On" manager primarily handles day-to-day Environmental Services operational functions and ensures unit level, corporate, employee relations, safety, training, unit operating systems compliance, hheavy discharge traffic, project work in public/ancillary areas, full responsibility for terminal cleaning of surgical suites to AORN standards.
Required: Good working knowledge of state & federal employment law; solid computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; good communication and presentation skills; detailed oriented, and well organized.
