The Senior HLBFS Analyst will be primarily responsible for the daily administration of Hyperion Essbase and related products. The Team Member will be responsible for implementing and assisting with the planning, developing, and coordinating of the annual budget process, the monthly forecasting process, and the daily and weekly EBITDA reporting for over 1,700 full and focused service hotels including Hilton, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Suites, Waldorf=Astoria Collection, Embassy Suites, Doubletree Hotels, Doubletree Guest Suites, Doubletree Club, Hampton, Hampton Inn & Suites, Homewood Suites, and Independent Hotels.

What will I be doing?
The Senior HLBFS Analyst will play an active role in the development of future enhancements to and/or a replacement for the current version of HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT (Hotel Level Budgeting and Forecasting System) so that hotels can complete budgets and forecasts more effectively and efficiently.
Other key priorities are listed below:
Gather appropriate data or information from PeopleSoft and ensure data loads reconcile to the General Ledger
Maintain the Hyperion Essbase databases for entering, storing and maintaining information for multiple scenarios (budget, actual, forecast) for all hotels utilizing HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT
Create and/or maintain HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT reporting tools for analyzing data
Assist Team Members with ad-hoc analysis
Gather appropriate data or information from HLBS and ensure that the data loaded into daily reporting ties to hotels forecast in HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT
Administer and assist with HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT and Essbase access requests
Document user specifications for system enhancements and work with the HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT IT department regarding programming, testing and deployment
Write HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT reports for HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT users using HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT
Generate forecasting reports to Hotel Finance at the Memphis Operations Center
Maintain reports utilized by all hotels during the monthly forecast and annual budget process
Examine the needs and concerns of hotel users to determine opportunities or problem areas and provide timely and accurate feedback to users
Communicate with hotel users providing them with information and possible solutions or a work-around relevant to the business need
Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with Team Members, Information Technology programmers, HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT users, Operations, Operations Finance, and corporate Team Members that utilize Hyperion Essbase and HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT
Develop and maintain reports, HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT Tools, and outline maintenance in supporting HLBFS AND/OR PLAN-IT

BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, IT or other computer related disciplines
A minimum of four (4) years of work experience in an IT analyst role
A minimum of three (3) years of work experience with Hyperion Essbase, including, but not limited to, the implementation and the development of data extracts from source systems, load rules, advanced calculation scripting, application tuning, and report writing
A minimum of three (3) years of work experience with Microsoft Excel including experience with tables, formulas, creating spreadsheets and manipulating data
It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:
MA/MS Master's Degree
A minimum of two (2) years of experience working with Hyperion Planning
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in the Hospitality industry
