Overview:
The Retail Analyst primary responsibility of this position is to provide analysis and supporting recommendations for the Retail Analytics team, supporting internal retail-driven initiatives and external client reporting and initiatives.
Responsibilities:
- Organizes and analyzes data from available data sources including iQubed, IRI, Nielsen, Spectra, POS data, Nielsen Homescan and others to support retail reporting, projects and initiatives.
- Manage deliverables and requests for assigned clients to include new item, coverage, merchandising objectives, voids/chronic out of stocks, and other client projects.
- As assigned, create analysis, recommendations and presentations to support retail initiatives and projects.
- As assigned, develop standard templates, scorecards and benchmarking capability across customer teams and region.
- As assigned, deliver retail analysis presentations to both internal and external contacts.
- Provide support and recommendations for improvements to tools and information used within retail analytics.
- Miscellaneous duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must have college degree or three to five years experience in marketing/retail analysis (or previous experience as an Analyst). Specific knowledge of IRI and/or ACNielsen systems, other data gathering systems and their uses in creating reports, recommendations and presentations is desired.
- Must be computer literate with a degree of proficiency in Windows and related software applications including spreadsheets, word processing, graphics, e-mail, fax ability, database management. Experience with ACNielsen NITRO, IRI Xlerate, Spectra, and Acosta’s proprietary systems is preferred.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with others. Must be able to operate a calculator, computer, and a printer, fax machine, telephone and copy machine.
- Must be able to make presentations coupled with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
