The Sales Executive's primary responsibilities are to maximize and close on qualified leads for our products, through all available sales channels to new customers. This position will report to the Manager of Sales and Partnerships and will work alongside the sales, technical support and developer relations teams.

This position is also responsible for adhering to and promoting our vision and values by performing duties in a manner that is consistent with being a team member (or team leader) and supporting the continued growth of the company.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effectively closing sales on new business
• Monitoring website and CRM system for product downloads, new business quotes, and demonstration requests
• Pursuing in-bound leads and leads developed by Business Development Specialists
• Communicating solutions, support/maintenance benefits, and product value via product overviews and demonstrations
• Driving sales initiatives to create new business opportunities
• Identifying and closing on strategic partnership opportunities: Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and Systems Integrators (SIs)
• Negotiating new OEM and SI agreements outlining expectations and requirements
• Preparing for and delivering relevant sales presentations in GoToMeeting
• Document sales activity in CRM system
• Other duties as assigned in support of the organization
Responsibility and Decision-Making:
• Under general supervision, effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously and make sound decisions that evidence both common sense and business acumen
• Improving established processes and procedures
Major Challenges and Performance Expectations:
• Overcoming objections and closing sales
• Expanding distribution channels and generating new opportunities
• Achieving/exceeding quarterly and annual sales and profitability goals
• Successfully juggling multiple tasks and projects simultaneously in a fast paced environment with minimal errors
• Successfully meeting commitments and deadlines
• Maintaining expertise in sales strategy, software development industry trends, software distribution channels, and current and future product lines
• Contributing to achieving and exceeding sales team goals
• Maintaining a customer focused perspective and handling interpersonal relations in a positive, helpful manner

Requirements

Education and/or Experience: • BA/BS preferably in a technical discipline • Minimum of 3 years’ experience and a proven track record of success in sales, channel sales, and solution selling • Proven sales closing skills • Experience in the Software industry a plus Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Strong desire to pursue and close business • Excellent listening and problem solving skills; as well as the ability to understand customer and partner business requirements • Excellent communication skills; personable, well-spoken, at ease in front of executives/decision makers, and able to shape a shared vision • Professional phone/email etiquette and ability to close sales over the phone • High level of energy, persistence and desire to do whatever it takes to exceed expectations • Strong drive for success – individual and as a team • Ability to think outside of the box and handle ambiguity • Strong self-motivation skills, with the ability to be proactive and flexible • Strong MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint • Strong sense of urgency • Ability to consistently meet commitments • Ability to work in a dynamic, intense (yet casual) team environment • Possess a high standard of ethical conduct
