WHAT THEY DO:
Candidates will stand in their respective weld cell and weld the same piece of steel for that respective job (All Automotive Parts for Ford) until the job is complete. These are extremely long runs with anywhere from 500-800 pieces a day.

DAY TO DAY:
Candidates will be expected to hit at least 80% of their production goal which is deteremined per steel part they are welding. They will know daily how they are measuring up to the expected results.

LOOKING FOR:
Candidates must have a minumum of 1 year MIG welding experience OR a welding degree/certification.

Candidates must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pound repeatedly throughout the day, up to 75 times daily.

Candidates must be able to visual inspect the quality of their welds and welds of others.

Nice to haves:
Candidates who have blueprint experience have moved up into a fabrication role quicker but this is not a requirement.

Candidates who have welded on 1/4 inch steel have worked out better in the past.

TYPICAL DAY:
Candidates come in and report to their welding cell. They will be instructed daily on expectations and output. They will use their MIG welder and weld nonstop for the 8 hour shift. After completing the part they will do a quick visualization check for quality and pass the part unto the next welder.

1st DAY RESPONSIBILITY:

Welders will be required to perform visual inspections on welds and weld at least 80% of their expected goal as determined by their weld lead.

BEST:
Best employees have a perfect attendance record and are able to hit their minimum quantity expectations and have zero rework after the part has been welded.

CULTURE:
The Company is a very busy work environment that is deadline sensitive. Every member of the team has their respective job description they are expected to complete daily and production numbers are monitored daily. Welders will weld the same piece of raw steel 500-800 times a day depending on the part.

TEAM SIZE:
The Company has 20-25 production welders throughout their facilities currently and are looking to double that in a short amount of time due to the Ford Project. Each shift has a welding department supervisor that will instruct each production welder what to weld and how many pieces to weld. There is absolutely NO blueprints being used.

EXPECTATIONS:
Welders work in their own respective weld cell and complete the job being asked of them. Absolutely NO radio's allowed and minimal employee contact.

2ND/3RD SHIFT: $14.50/hr

OVERTIME is 1.5 x Pay Rate
