We are currently accepting applications for a Mechanical Project Engineer for a reputable firm in the Reading, PA area. Below is a list of qualifications:

  • This position will be responsible for equipment and processes of manufacturing.
  • The Project/Manufacturing Engineers role involves all the plant manufacturing engineering and process engineering functions relative to the equipment and production processes.
  • Responsibility includes Management of Projects - identification and prioritization of projects with operations team; including upgrading or retrofit of existing equipment as well as procurement and installation of new equipment. Engineering Processes Management
  • Responsible for management of all manufacturing process development and improvement in compliance with Health, Safety and environmental - Develop and implement manufacturing process improvement plans for all areas. Ensure that operations, maintenance and manufacturing engineering work proactively together.
  • Acquire and Install new manufacturing capacity and capital equipment. Follow manufacturing project protocol and monitor financial data to assure compliance to budget; maintains product and company reputation by complying with government regulations; provides engineering information by answering questions and requests.
  • Proven track record in engineering leadership as well as the ability to develop and implement standard engineering practices, as well as provide detailed documentation upon project completion.
  • Piping drawings, P&IDs, Flow diagrams are amongst the detailed documentation the candidate will have to handle.
  • This person will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities.
  • A BS in Mechanical Engineering is desired.
  • A minimum of 5 year's experience in a similar position is required.
  • Experience in Pulp & Paper; Corrugated systems or Power Generation is a plus.
  • Travel required
