The Isle Casino Racing Pompano Park is a smoke-free facility, the home of 1500 slot machines, an award winning 38 table poker room, 4 very popular restaurants and Florida's only harness race track.
Our Casino has a seasoned management team who has designed and is implementing a strategic business plan to increase value, through strong fiscal discipline and targeted operating strategies. Further, the Isle is starting new human resources programs to reward the team for implementing and executing the operating plan, from general managers to line employees. We have built much of our success on the reputation of our team members and the many amenities offered throughout our property.
To ensure we deliver the highest standards and service, we are seeking experienced Cooks & Pastry Cooks
1. FUNCTION
The Cook is responsible for safely preparing food items, following menu specifications and standard recipes, for service to guests in all outlets.
2. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Operate kitchen equipment including slicer, steamer, deep fryer, ovens, broiler, grill, mixer, kettle, and griddles.
B. Requires reading and math skill for recipes and measurements.
C. Actively participates with staff to cook, prepare, dish-up and assemble all food outlets. Adheres to control procedure for food costs and quality.
D. Maintain constant communication with Cook III's and Sous Chef and interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
E. Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the outlets, work flexible hours and handle high pressure deadlines.
3. EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
A. High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
B. Must be 18 years or older to obtain gaming license
C. Knowledge of Health codes and Safe food handling
D. Culinary Class Training
At least one year prior experience in high volume production is required.
